EIS Opens Headquarters in Ireland to Support EMEA Expansion

Mary Haugh, HR business lead, UK, Ireland, and Spain

EIS is pleased to announce that we have opened a new office in Cork, our second office in Ireland in the past six months.

This new collaborative space – located in the prime riverside Penrose Dock, Cork – places EIS in the heart of Ireland’s technical “Silicon Republic.” In the last 18 months, from the four corners of Ireland, we have grown to a team of more than 50 diverse, highly-skilled, and passionate team members.

With the grand opening of the new office, Alec Miloslavsky, EIS CEO, and Mike Dwyer, our CTO, came to visit the team, engage in discussions, and answer employee questions face to face.

“This feeds into our wider growth strategy,” Alec said. “EIS is expanding across Europe and other regions. In addition to opening our offices in the UK, Poland, Brazil, and Spain, we are continuing to add more staff over the coming months.”

EIS is actively recruiting globally for top quality developers, quality assurance, business analysts, technical writers, and user experience (UX) designers, and a presence in Cork offers EIS many advantages.

Cork is home to more than 60 international technology companies, three universities, and more than 35,000 students; 47% of the local population is under age 35. Technology is now the largest Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) sector in Cork, and there are many proactive academic-industry collaborations on college courses.

Recently, CTO Mike Dwyer was even invited to deliver a lecture at Munster Technological University (MTU), Cork, which led to us hiring three new employees. This access to bright future tech talent encouraged us to sponsor a summer internship program this summer. We were asked to become a design partner of the university’s future computer sciences classes to help bring an employer and job skill focus to the curriculum.

“EIS’ greatest advantage is our capable and committed team,” Alec said. “We bring to life our common passion for technology and people every day through our core values: Think Big, Go Further, Collaborate and Champion Growth.”
